What matchy is

matchy is a wellbeing and discovery space for women, where you note how you feel, share moments, keep places you love and move at your own pace. The service is free. It carries no advertising and sells no data.

The service is published on a non-professional basis by Gabriela Cintas. See the legal notice.

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

Who can join

The service is restricted to people aged 16 and over. You confirm your age when you sign up.

matchy is a space between women. Anyone who recognises herself in that is welcome. An account clearly created outside that spirit may be suspended.

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian may write to contact@matchy.fans to exercise your rights on your behalf, including asking for your account to be deleted.

You may hold only one account, and you may not transfer, lend or sell it.

Your account

You are responsible for access to the mailbox you use to sign in. Tell us at contact@matchy.fans if you believe someone else has reached your account.

You can delete your account at any time from within the app, without asking anyone.

The mirror test

The mirror test has no medical, psychological or diagnostic value. It is a gentle game meant to personalise your experience. The “tribe” it gives you is simply a poetic way in to matchy.

What you may publish, and what you may not

You are responsible for what you publish. The following are prohibited, without this list being exhaustive:

• hateful, abusive, discriminatory or harassing content;
• sexual content, and any content depicting a minor;
• content promoting eating disorders, self-harm or suicide, as well as diets, fasting or practices presented as methods;
• publishing information that identifies or allows contact with another person without her consent, including a photo in which she appears unknowingly;
• impersonation, advertising, solicitation, resale, affiliate links;
• automated extraction of content or profiles, by any means.

Contact sharing is deliberately absent from the product. Profiles, bios and moments are not designed to pass along a phone number, a social handle or an address. That is a safety decision, taken because the service welcomes minors.

What we may do with content

Content reported by three distinct people is automatically hidden pending review. We may also hide content, suspend an account or close it, where these terms are not respected.

Any decision can be challenged at contact@matchy.fans. We read every message.

You can at any time stop seeing another user’s moments. That gesture is one-sided, silent and reversible: the person concerned is never told.

Your content is yours

You remain the owner of everything you publish: your moments, your photos, your writing, the places you suggest.

So the service can work, you grant us a free, non-exclusive, limited licence to host, reproduce and display your content within the service and only within the service, according to the visibility you chose for each item, and for as long as you leave it published.

That licence ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your content for advertising, for outside communication, or to train an artificial-intelligence model.

One exception, written here so it surprises no one: the places you suggest to the community remain in the catalogue after your account is deleted, but detached from your name. A place gifted to the tribe no longer belongs to one girl.

Events

matchy relays gatherings organised by partner venues. For each one we show the date, the venue, the price set by the organiser and the number of places still available.

matchy is neither the organiser, nor the seller, nor the party collecting payment. Payment, tickets, cancellation and refund terms are the organiser’s responsibility, and theirs alone. The contract is formed between you and them.

Events are restricted to adults.

If an event is cancelled or changed, the organiser is your contact. Write to us anyway at contact@matchy.fans: we cannot refund you, but we can put you in touch.

What matchy is not

matchy is not a health service. Check-ins, glow, rituals and readings are wellbeing and self-attention tools. They are not a diagnosis, a treatment, or medical or psychological advice, and they never replace a professional.

If you are going through something hard, talk to someone. In immediate danger, call 112 (European Union) or your local emergency number. If you see content that worries you about someone, report it: those reports are looked at first.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as is. It evolves, and a feature may change or be withdrawn. We do not guarantee continuity of service, absence of errors, or the preservation of content you have not saved elsewhere.

We cannot be held liable for content published by users, for one user’s behaviour towards another, for how a third-party Event unfolds, or for indirect loss.

Nothing here limits our liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, nor the rights granted to consumers by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Any substantial change will be flagged in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law.

If something goes wrong, write to us first — most things are settled that way. Failing that, as a consumer you may use a consumer mediator free of charge, and bring the matter before the competent French court.
