matchy

the matchy manifesto

what we saw.
what we want.

an open letter to all the girls looking for something else.

movement 01what we saw

We grew up with apps that measure. Apps that count. Apps that judge.

How many steps. How many calories. How many minutes of exercise. How many liters of water. How many hours of sleep. How many.

And then one morning, we understood something. We didn’t feel better. We felt watched.

The apps that were supposed to help us take care of ourselves had become tools of control. The numbers that were supposed to motivate us had become sources of anxiety. Wellness was no longer a softness, it was a new way to perform.

page after page, we started everything over.

movement 02what we want

We wanted something else.

An app that asks how you feel, not how much you did. An app that offers you rituals, not targets. An app that connects you to girls who feel like you, not a leaderboard where you compare yourself.

An app that feels like a letter from a wise friend. Like a magazine page. Like a candle burning in a cream bedroom at 7pm.

An aesthetic app, because beauty is a form of care, not a luxury.

movement 03what we refuse

So we banned words.

Calorie. Diet. Weight. BMI. Burn. Eliminate. Restriction. Lose.

These words exist nowhere in Matchy. Not in the settings, not in the notifications, not in the code. This charter isn’t a marketing argument, it’s a line we’ve drawn. For real.

Because we know — because we’ve lived it — that these words can hurt. That they can trigger things we no longer control. And that no girl of 18 or 22 or 27 should have to run into them in the app that was meant to walk with her.

movement 04what we’re building

We invented five tribes.

Not to lock you into a category, to hand you a mirror. Glow Up Girls for those who glow with intention. Soft Girls for those who turn softness into strength. Clean Girls for those who find their clarity in less. Mystic Girls for those who listen to their intuition. Wander Girls for those who turn every season into a scene.

We wrote 365 affirmations, one for every day of the year. Written like letters, not slogans. Read by girls you don’t forget.

We designed 36 badges. Not trophies. Moments to celebrate softly: the first week of journaling. The first morning ritual. The first moment you tell yourself “i’m doing okay”.

We built Matchy as a universe to step into, not a tool to master.

movement 05what we ask of you

You made it all the way here. That’s already a lot.

If Matchy speaks to you, if something in these lines resonated with you, come join us.

Not to buy anything. Not to commit to anything. Just to be there when we open the doors. To be one of the first girls who watched Matchy being born.

We still have so much to build. But we’d love for you to be there from the very beginning.
